Lady Strangelove chosen to open the Clipsal 500 Adelaide Concert Stage for Good Charlotte and The Living End on Sunday March 4
Music SA has partnered with the SA Motor Sport Board to present Bands On Track - a feast of South Australian live music over 4 days and nights as part of the Adelaide Casino Live Large Concert Series at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide in March 2012.
Wednesday night Ride Into The Sun, Lady Strangelove, Hawks Of Alba, Quiet Child and Curses competed in the last final, to open the stage for Good Charlotte and The Living End on Sunday March 4. At the end of the night, Music SA announced that the artist selected to open the Clipsal 500 Adelaide Concert Stage for Good Charlotte and The Living End on Sunday March 4 is Lady Strangelove.

Music SA has partnered with the SA Motor Sport Board to present Bands On Track - a feast of South Australian live music over 4 days and nights as part of the Adelaide Casino Live Large Concert Series at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide in March 2012.
Music SA has chosen 15 SA bands to compete for an opportunity to perform alongside Australia’s best live acts, opening the Clipsal 500 Concert Stage on Friday March 2, Saturday March 3 or Sunday March 4. Shows are being held at Fowler’s Live January 12, 19, and 25 to determine the winning acts. Each night, a group of industry professionals will select a band for the gig of a lifetime - performing to an audience of thousands with full concert production, backstage rider, and guest tickets thanks to Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
Last night Lyla, Dexter Jones, Raider, Heston Drop and The Rules competed to open the stage for INXS on Saturday March 3.

The line-up at the Adelaide Casino Live Large Concert Series at this year’s Clipsal 500 Adelaide has received another huge boost with today’s announcement that Good Charlotte will be performing on the Sunday evening 4 March.
‘We are “The Race That Rocks” and the inclusion of Good Charlotte not only backs that up, but provides another great reason for race and concert fans to attend Australia’s largest and best motor sport carnival, Clipsal 500 Adelaide Chief Executive Mark Warren said.
Jayne-Anne Power wins the first Bands On Track final, and will now open the Adelaide Clipsal 500 Concert Stage for Wynter Gordon and The Potbelleez on Friday March 2.

Five bands have been chosen to compete for the opportunity to open the Clipsal 500 Concert Stage on Friday March 2, Saturday March 3, and Sunday March 4, with a competition being held at Fowler’s Live to determine the winning acts. Vanessa Amorosi is one of Australia’s most talented vocalists.
Her ARIA Top 10 album ‘Hazardous’ was awarded Gold status in Australia and is the home to singles ‘This Is Who I Am’, ‘Hazardous’ and ‘Mr Mysterious’.
The first single from the album, double platinum ‘This Is Who I Am’ debuted at #1 and retained pole position for two weeks a feat not achieved since Kylie Minogue in 2007.
‘Mr Mysterious’ featuring multiple ARIA Award winner Seany B debuted at #6 on the ARIA chart then climbed to #4 in its second week and achieved Gold status.
CLIPSAL 500 ADELAIDE AGAIN NAMED AS BEST V8 SUPERCAR EVENT
South Australia’s V8 Supercar carnival, the Clipsal 500 Adelaide has been named the best event of the 2011 season – the eighth time it has been recognized as Australia’s best domestic motor sport event.
Best event award number eight comes after it was inducted into the V8 Supercars Hall of Fame in 2005, with that recognition making it ineligible for the annual award for a period of three years.
The Clipsal 500 Adelaide is the only event to be elevated to Hall of Fame status that is normally reserved for champion drivers.
Speaking at the V8 Supercar award ceremony held in Sydney on Monday night (December 5, 2011) South Australian Motor Sport Board Chairman Mr. Andy Ford paid tribute to the SA Government, retired Chairman Mr. Roger Cook, the Board, management, and staff, and “all South Australians”.
Clipsal 500 Adelaide Launched
More attractions on and off the track and reduced-price tickets will be features of the 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
Premier and Minister of State Development Jay Weatherill says the majority of ticket prices for the 2012 event have been reduced or held at this year's prices, which will continue the event's reputation as a value-for-money event.

Major announcements at the launch of the 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide included
- Majority of ticket prices for the Clipsal 500 Adelaide are to be reduced or held at previous levels with more on and off track attractions during the four day motor sport carnival.
- Confirmation of the 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide as the first round of the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship.
- Over its thirteen year history, the Clipsal 500 Adelaide has contributed almost $320 million dollar to the economy of South Australia, with the benefit flowing from this year’s event (2011) being $34.03 million dollars.
- The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as the official charity of the 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
Adelaide Casino - 'the place that rocks' for Clipsal 500
The Adelaide Casino Live Large Concert Series will get the city rocking next March for the 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
Now in its third year as a major sponsor of Clipsal 500, Adelaide Casino is the naming rights sponsor for the four night concert series that will welcom Australian rock legends INXS to the stage, along with Sneaky Sound System and a number of local bands and DJ's.
