Whilst V8 Supercars are yet to announce beer rights for the 2012 Championship season, new Clipsal 500 Adelaide wine provider Festival City Wines will ensure all patrons are provided with a premium range of red, white and sparkling wines. Spirit of choice, Jim Beam will be available from bars around the track.

CLIPSAL 500 ADELAIDE AGAIN NAMED AS BEST V8 SUPERCAR EVENT

South Australia’s V8 Supercar carnival, the Clipsal 500 Adelaide has been named the best event of the 2011 season – the eighth time it has been recognized as Australia’s best domestic motor sport event.
Best event award number eight comes after it was inducted into the V8 Supercars Hall of Fame in 2005, with that recognition making it ineligible for the annual award for a period of three years.
The Clipsal 500 Adelaide is the only event to be elevated to Hall of Fame status that is normally reserved for champion drivers.
Speaking at the V8 Supercar award ceremony held in Sydney on Monday night (December 5, 2011) South Australian Motor Sport Board Chairman Mr. Andy Ford paid tribute to the SA Government, retired Chairman Mr. Roger Cook, the Board, management, and staff, and “all South Australians”.

Premier and Minister of State Development Jay Weatherill says the majority of ticket prices for the 2012 event have been reduced or held at this year's prices, which will continue the event's reputation as a value-for-money event.

The Adelaide Casino Live Large Concert Series will get the city rocking next March for the 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
Now in its third year as a major sponsor of Clipsal 500, Adelaide Casino is the naming rights sponsor for the four night concert series that will welcom Australian rock legends INXS to the stage, along with Sneaky Sound System and a number of local bands and DJ's.

Music SA are pleased to announce its partnership with the SA Motor Sport Board, and Nova 91.9FM to presents Bands on Track - a showcase of great SA music over 4 days and nights as part of the Adelaide Casino Live Large Concert Series at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide in March 2012.
Daniel Randell, General Manager Music SA announced today "Six race-ready bands will qualify for a starting lineup on the Adelaide Casino Concert Oval Stage Thursday March 1. The first two bands on the grid are folk-rock heroes The Beards, and action-rock powerhouse Tracer."

V8 Supercar fans attending the 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide will be asked to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) as the event’s official charity. 122,300 children and adults are affected by ‘juvenile’ or type 1 diabetes in Australia. There is presently NO Cure. Children and adults with this disease require a daily regime of 3 – 6 insulin injections or continuous infusion of insulin through a pump, as well as 6 – 8 finger-prick blood tests, just to stay alive.
It’s Official: Clipsal 500 Adelaide first race of 2012 V8 Supercars ChampionshipÂ

The Clipsal 500 Adelaide, to be held from March 1-4, will be the first event of the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship.
Race officials confirmed the popular move to make the Clipsal 500 Adelaide the opening event when the 2012 calendar was announced at the weekend during the running of the annual Bathurst 1000.
Series officials have confirmed a record total of 16 events – an increase of one over 2011.
There will be a total of 15 championship events plus the category's regular non-championship appearance at the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park.
Among other notable changes to the calendar are the return of the traditional Sandown 500 in September and the move of the YAS V8 400 at Abu Dhabi to November, where the event will be a support to the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Top Ten Shoot Out Re-Scheduled for Friday

We have gained support of V8 Supercars and the recently formed V8 Supercar Commission to re-schedule the first of the V8 Supercar qualifying sessions and the Top Ten Shoot Out.
This definitely makes Friday a bigger day for fans at Adelaide’s famous city street circuit particularly with drivers pushing the absolute limit to gain grid positions for the first leg of the Clipsal 500.
Saturday’s race schedule will also include warm-up sessions for the V8 Supercars, prior to the 78 lap race as the first part of the 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide.
Sunday’s schedule will include the second V8 Supercar qualifying session ahead of Race 2 of Clipsal 500 Adelaide, also scheduled for 78 laps.
The full Feature (support) race program will be announced closer to next year’s event together with the acts for the concert line-up.

Congratulations to our 3 millionth patron Jarrad Combe! Jarrad passed through the gates on Sunday of the event and VIP treatment throughout the day.

Australia. Porsche City Index Carrera Cup Australia was today confirmed to compete at the 2012 Clipsal 500 Adelaide on March 1-4.
The Clipsal 500 Adelaide will be the opening event of the 2012 Porsche City Index Carrera Cup Australia season, with the championship extending from seven to eight rounds next year.
