WINNERS ARE GRINNERS

Holden Racing Team's Garth Tander had the perfect 2010 Clipsal 500 Adelaide by taking victory in both 250 kilometre V8 Supercar races at Australia's largest and best domestic motor sport carnival.

In near perfect weather conditions, 277,800 people packed the circuit over the four days and 110,000 attended the Stratco SAFM Skyshow on the Saturday evening of the event.

Tander's victory now makes him the only driver in the 2010 V8 Supercars Championship Series capable of winning a $2 million bounty should he go on to win the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, the Gold Coast SuperCarnivale, and the Sydney Telstra 500.

The $2 million Grand Slam prize was announced at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide.

While Tander's victory was clearly the highlight of the Clipsal 500 Adelaide carnival, spectacular racing was seen in all of the Feature race categories with the other on-track activities and concerts adding to the four day extravaganza.

'The flyover by the Australian Defence Force FA-111, the Stratco SAFM Skyshow with so many family groups, Murray Walker's Extreme Machines and the presence of Murray Walker himself, the packed Clipsal 500 Adelaide Ladies Day Luncheon, the atmosphere at the new 'Parking Lot' hospitality venue in the Trackside area were all simply sensational', Clipsal 500 Adelaide Chief Executive Jason said in summing up the event.

A WISH GRANTED TO BRADY
AT THE CLIPSAL 500 ADELAIDE

Make-A-Wish® Australia was the Official Charity of the 2010 Clipsal 500 Adelaide. As part of this association the Clipsal 500 Adelaide and Make-A-Wish® Australia were delighted to be part of making Brady's wish come true.

Brady is a 17 year old young man who has been diagnosed with Wolf-Hirschron Syndrome. His cherished wish to meet his idol Shannon Noll was granted on Saturday 13th March at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide, courtesy of the Clipsal 500 Adelaide organisers and Make-A-Wish® Australia.

The family enjoyed the famous Ladies Day Lunch on Thursday, stating it was the first time in many years the family had been able to enjoy such an experience together.

Shannon Noll met Brady back stage before his concert, signing Brady's beloved poster from his room and Brady's favourite Shannon Noll CD. Shannon then presented Brady and his family with special tickets left of the stage to view Shannon's performance. During his performance, Shannon dedicated Brady's favourite song "What About Me" to Brady, gesturing to him from centre stage. Immediately after Shannon's performance, Brady's face lit up watching the fabulous Skyshow fireworks.

During Brady's stay in Adelaide the Clipsal 500 Adelaide also organised for Brady to meet some of his favourite Holden drivers including Jason Richards and Jason Bright from Team BOC and Trading Post Racing. A definite highlight for Brady.
