V8 Supercar fans attending the 2012 event will be asked to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as the event's official charity. In Australia 122,300 children and adults are affected by Type 1 Diabetes. Australia has one of the highest rates in the world.
JDRF is the worldwide leader in funding research to cure type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly and lasts a lifetime.
